I'm relatively new to looking up my family's geneology information on the Internet and am unfamiliar with the "100 year" rule. Is this only to do with Internet posted information?
Does it also affect sharing information with distant family members (ie, those of us who have met up on the internet) who are interested in tracing their family roots?
When you refer to "not releasing" personal information about people still living, what is allowable? or are we not to give out anything, even their name? If this is the case, then I apologise for providing some information in this section that is younger than 100 years old.
