Has anyone come across the following family?
1881 census reads:

Jane AITCHISON age 43 born Kirknewton Edinburgh
Robert AITCHISON butcher age 16 born Cramond Edinburgh
Elizabeth AITCHISON age 14 born Cramond Edinburgh
Margaret AITCHISON age 12 born Cramond Edinburgh
Thomas AITCHISON age 9 born Dalkieth Edinburgh
Charles AITCHISON age 5 born Dalkieth Edinburgh
George AITCHISON age 3 born Dalkieth Edinburgh
William AITCHISON age 2m born Dalkieth Edinburgh

The 1891 census shows that another child Jane AITCHISON was born in 1881/2. There is also listed David AITCHISON who was born in Dundee in 1884/5. I think this is the David McIntosh AITCHISON born in 1884 to unmarried mother Mary AITCHISON at 22 Barrack Street, Dundee. The family story is that he was brought up by his grandparents as one of their own. Then when he was about 15 he joined the Royal Horse Artillery and fought in the Boer War.
