Hi Nancy Akermans arent really in my family. I purchased the book years ago when I first started researching my own genealogy at a yard sale. I saw the list of surnames in the book and wrote a message under each surname in the forum thinking I might be able to help someone out. I have found a little info that might help you on your Peter. He married first, as you stated, Rachel Foss on November 28, 1779 and then he married widow Charity (Marden) Locke, sister of his first wife. He had four children by his first wife: Peter, born 1780 bapt. Aug 1782 at Epsom, New Hampshire Joseph, born 1781 bapt. Aug 1782 at Epsom, New Hampshire Phineas, bapt. June 22, 1783 at Epsom, New Hampshire John, bapt, Nov 28, 1785 at Epsom, New Hampshire Rachel, born 1786; baptized 12 Feb 1787 at Epsom, NewHampshire Jonathan......
And one child from his second wife: Benjamin M., no birth date
Peter was apprenticed to Jonathan Locke(MY 5th great grandfather) of Rye, NH at Rye, New Hampshire. He began military service circa 1775; served in the Rev. War. Crippled in Ticonderoga.Served in Capt. Jonathan Wentworth's company. Col. Poor's Reg. Later part of General Thomas command in campaign to Quebec Can. relief who died of small pox.
