I am researching the family of Akers/Ackers and Coe of Wayne Co., PA. I am a descendant of John Clement Akers, born in Dreher Twp, Wayne Co., May 20, 1804, per the following:
Information from; Mrs. Ida Mae D. Roe, RD#l, Hawley, Penn. 18428 Going to our Illustrated Wayne of 1900, I found under the heading, "Newfoundland. The first white man to settle in that vicinity was Denman Coe in 1794. He erected a cabin just back of F.A.. Oppults residence. William Akers married one of Mr. Coe's daughters and John Clements Akers was the first white child born in Dreher Township.".
Another source, a book "Robert Coe, Puritan", page 203, Mary Coe's husband called Clement Ackers of Wayne Co., Pa.
Please advise me how I can get further information on William or Clement Akers or the Coe family of Wayne Co., Pa. Thank you very much for anything you can assist me with. Ken Akers email@example.com
