Mary: It is somewhat questionable but there are two William Akers who migrated to the colonies around 1650.One is William Akers of NJ and the other is William Akers of Rappahannock Co., VA. I have been researching William Akers of NJ and have a large amount of data on him and his descendants.William Akers of Rappahannock Co., Va. was researched by Earl B. Akers.Their descendancies can be found on my websitehttp://members.citynet.net/dakershttp://members.citynet.net/dakers
You can find a Daniel Akers under Wm. Akers NJ, under Robert Akers. If you are a descendant of this Daniel, then you are a descendant of the NJ family. David
