Patrick, after looking at my data and finding the WWI Draft card for Frank Akers, I believe I might be your 6th cousin once removed or 7th cousin. I think Frank Akers' father might have been Jacob P. AKERS, if that is so his mother's name was Elizabeth AKERS. According to WWI Draft Record Frank was born May 1888 in Prestonsburg, Floyd County, Kentucky, USA. In 1900 Census, Jacob P. AKERS and Elizabeth AKERS had a son named Frank AKERS born May 1888 in the Floyd County, Kentucky location.
Jacob P. AKERS was the son of Daniel AKERS and Arta Justice. Jacob P. AKERS was born 14 June 1860.
Elizabeth AKERS was the daughter of Hiram AKERS and Nancy FRASURE and was born September 1864 in Kentucky.
They were 2nd cousins.
If this is the correct individual we connect on two different surname lines, AKERS and BRANHAM. Both My line and the line in question are descendants of Blackburn AKERS who married Susannah (? possibly BLACKBURN), and David BRANHAM who married Francis BASKETT.
