Thanks for the reply. It is just good to find someone else who is interested. This is a little wierd for me.I have been doing this as a hobby for 40 years and my Dad's family was a real dead end. I could not find his mother under her maiden name in any censusShe went by Emma Belle but the census has her as Ida B.I finally found enough local records to prove that her two siblings provide enough info through the middle name of "Orange" and a picture of "little Harley", that I have her for sure. What I did not expect was to end back in Montgomery Co Va and not with the Blackburns, Akers and Thompson families. My mothers ancestral grandfather married Rachel Skaggs, son of Charles and Lucy Thompson.Rachel died and he married Lydia Vaughn who is my line.So when I found George Thompson wife unk and was back in the Archibald Thompson Diary, it was a real suprise. In it he talks about taking his wife to my grandfather Nathan Blevins place. So is sure makes sense to me that the second wife of Blackburn Akers was Susanna Skaggs makes complete sense. I do see where the will would verify the Susannah married to Blackburn with only one child Solomon.Seems this Solomon should be a brother to Austin Augustine born 1763, so there must be some reason that the father Backburn born 1731 was named Blackburn. Is there a will for William born 1702?
