Thank you for your E Mail.Yes your ancestor Elizabeth Richardson (sometimes known as Betty)was bp at Wragby, Lincs April 1828.she was also related to my wife Betty(nee Richardson) and Sue's husband Dr Jeremy Richardson ( Sue is the expert). The connection is through William Richardson ( of Nelson fame. I call him "Willie Nelson" )and Jane Richardson (nee Wright). They were Betty's and Jeremy's ggg Grandparents.Elizabeth worked as a house servant at the Spread Eagle Hotel, Market Place Hull, Yorkshire (1851 census)in 1851 she was 22 years old and in 1850 (Hull Yorkshire) had given birth to William Richardson, later to become William Richardson Akester when Elzabeth married George Robert Akester in Jan'1855 at Sculcoates Parish Church, his natural father was William Akester. Elizabeth was the youngest of 10 children to William and Jane. The Richardsons are a well known family in Louth and district in Lincolnshire. They were involved in Coach and Carriage building,Pub's and Hotels, Butcher shop and tanneries and I believe a Abbatoir.I myself am a Londoner but have lived in Skegness a seaside resort 20 miles from Louth for over fifty years when I met Betty when I was serving in the RAF. Yesterday I drove through Wragby on my way to Lincoln. William Richardson Akester died in 1931. If you want to know more about the Richardsons I'm happy to oblige.
