As for your posting, I DO NOT know what my grandfather's brothers names were.Every one from his generation has passed on.My Grandfather (Octoviano B. Alaniz (not sure of middle name)) passed away like in 1980, at the age of 72.So that would, I believe would made him a lot older then your relative, and from another generation.
I know, he was one of SIX brothers. Most lived in Brownsville, and most died before he did, I only know of One brother that out lived him, until he passed away in the late 90's, I think.
so in 1990, he would have been 82 ...in 2000, he would have been 92 His spouse, just passed away last month, and she was 96
