I agree with you about being unsure about Abiel Wheelock, but I have looked at a lot of VR and have not found another Abiel who could be THE one.Also, I found in the History of Milford that Benjamin 2 Wheelock had, perhaps as early as 1706, acquired possession of the ancient Benjamin Alby "corn mill" from Matthias Puffer or his heirs.He made it over, with some reservations of the mill-privilege, to his sons Benjamin & Obadiah in 1713; and in 1719 all three of them joined in deeding it to Josiah Wood--the mill being then said to have burnt down.
Not that it proves that Benjamin Wheelock's dau Abiel married Benjamin Albee but it provides one more link between the families..
I have 9 children for Benjamin & Abiel... there is a large gap between Ebenezer b. 1708 and Joseph b. ca 1718.. I wonder if the Sarah who m. Mendon 1730 Samuel Daniels was born ca 1710?Do you suppose there were other children?
