Hi:
I gather you must be a Christine instead of a Christofer.
I was A quartermaster first Class, navigation and such in the navy.
Started on YP boats patrolling area from Bar Harbor, Maine to Grand Manan Isle in Canada, Then A Destroyer Escort, convoys OilTankers from Arubaand Ven. to Plymouth , England, Then transferred to an LSM sailing through the Panama Canal to Island invasions in the Pacific.
I was Named after My Father's brother Charles DuBay who killed in France In WW-1. I sent to the war Department and got records of the actual war record describing his death buriel and they sent me pictures of his grave and of the cemetery. Also got was records of another Uncle and My Dad who served.
The French side were the Dube's who came to Quebec Canada in !669. My grandfather anglisized name to DuBay when he came to USA. They were a prolific dull clan mostly farmers and articians. Whereas the Albees were very prominent and well documented, I have loads of info and documents on them. Chuck
