Half, my bad…half, odd info… It's Asenath Linda Lewis Hatt She had an odd name, which I, ooops, forgot. This would have probably made her happy as she hated it and went by her middle name. The Hatt/Lewis thing I have to check the order on. The second name, whichever it was, came about because she took the name of the family that rescued her from the wagon train. Her parents and all siblings but one older brother—Will Hatt is the name that sticks in my mind—died after drinking alkali water. That brother was taken south to Texas by another family and they were in contact in later life. She went north to Wisconsin, as I recall. Sorry, not much time, just going on memory here. When I get a chance, I'll go look it up.
