I am a descendent of Alexander Albee, born in Milford,MA about 1785 or 1786. For those of you familiar with the Robert Albee book of 1920, I am referring to the Alexander shown as Code 8 on page 166. After researching the 1800 and 1810 U.S. Census for Milford, MA (Albee), the 1830 U.S. Census for Thompson, NY (Alby) and the 1850 U.S. Census for Carbon, PA (last name incorrectly spelled Alee), I have concluded that Alexander's father was the Thomas Albee shown in Robert Albee's book as Code 7 on page 164. This is contrary to a family tree that my uncle had someone research many years ago that shows Alexanders father as Jonathan Albee born in Bellingham, MA about 1751 (page 93 of the Robert Albee book. There is no documentation that Jonathan Albee ever had children).I have two questions for the Albee research experts.First, can anyone confirm this information? Secondly, does anyone have information regarding the parents of Thomas Albee, born in 1762 in Milford, MA?I would also be interested to know his relationship to Olive Albee whom he married in 1785 at Milford, MA.Also, why did he go to live with John Claflin of Holliston, MA at the age of 9 years?I know I'm asking a lot, However, I thought possibly someone would have researched this area. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
