Hello Dan, I have assembled quite a bit of information on the Alberico families of Caramanico, San Vittorino and San Tommaso but unfortunately my information is from the 1800's and doesn't cover the time period which would be helpful to you.Do you have more information about Donato Alberico and Assunta Zigrossi? The names of their parents would be very helpful. Do you have approximate birth dates for them? What is your father's name? Are Franco and Anna Maria siblings of your father or of your grandfather?
The name "Donato" is traditional in my family line.My ggreatgrandfather's name was Donato Antonio Alberico and my grandfather Sante Alberico had a younger brother named Donato Alberico who was born in 1900 but Donato died at the age of 2 so he couldn't be your grandfather.
I am guessing that your grandfather must have been born after 1900 in order that he and Assunta would be having children in the 1940's.
Do you know if any of your father's or grandfather's siblings immigrated to the USA?
I will probably be able to trace your family lines all the way back to the mid 1700's if I can get some concrete information on your grgrandparents.
It would be great to know if we are very distantly related to each other. Cherrie
