Jamie, I rechecked the ship manifest and there is a young woman named Palma Dolcenome, age 20, dressmaker, single, traveling with Filippo and Maria Ann. She is from the same village and her destination is the same. There is no indication that the two women are twins or even sisters. If these girls were orphans then they were probably adopted out to two different families which would account for the differences in their last names. Women in Italy kept their maiden names there entire lives and didn't take on their husbands like we do here in America. This is why the women are listed under their maiden names. They didn't start taking on their husbands married name until they were here in America. I found a listing for a Palma Alberico in the 1930 census for Utica NY.She is married to a Daniel Alberico. The census says that she arrived in 1913 so I expect that she is the one you to whom you were referring. I will have to get back to you on the website.I thought I had saved but I can't find it right now.
