I found your message about the ALBERS-history very interesting. Some of my ancestors are ALBERS too.
I got a Reinert (Reinhard) ALBERS gen. (called) ABELN. He´s born in Ermke near Molbergen, Lower Saxony in 1761. His parents were ALBERS / SOMMER from the parish Lastrup, Lower Saxony.
The 2nd thing is, I´ve got a "collegue" in school - Mr. Konrad ALBERS - he lives not far from Cloppenburg, Lower Saxony. Perhaps he´ll be interested in the ALBERS-history too.
The surnames ALBERS is in the Cloppenburg-Molbergen-Emstek...area - all Lower Saxony - very common!
