Frances E. Albers, age 99, of Green Bay passed away on July 14, 2005, at Santa Maria Nursing Home. Frances was born on June 30, 1906, in Pilsen, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Vitek) Halada. On September 28, 1926, she married William Albers at Holy Trinity in Casco. William preceded her in death on May 17, 1994. Frances was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, the St. Anne Society, and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed volunteering her time at St. Vincent De Paul. Frances loved to hook rugs and belonged to a rug hooking club. She enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting.
Frances is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Virginia and Eugene Hruska, Green Bay, a son and daughter-in-law; Jim and Muriel Albers, De Pere, five grandchildren: Barbara Maufort, Green Bay; Greg (Michelle) Hruska, Riverside, Ill; Dorothy (David) Brown, Flower-Mound, TX; Mark (Sherena) Albers, De Pere; Brad (Melissa) Albers, Green Bay; great grandchildren: John Paul and Andrew Tom Maufort, Chasity, Gavin, Garet, and Gerard Brown, Julia, Amelia, Isabella, and Tessa Claire Hruska, James, Kira, William, Nicholas, and Sophia Albers; sister-in-law: Mildred Halada, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Reynen, and two brothers, Mike Halada and Francis “Frank” Halada and also by John and Tavie Albers and Karl and Marie Albers, a grandson-in-law Tom Maufort, as well as other nieces and nephews.
Gathering time with family and friends for Mrs. Albers will be on Monday, July 18, 2005, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 139 S. Madison Street, from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Roy Klister officiating. Entombment will be at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum.
