Hi Jody
Emily(Emilia)Saindon and Jean Baptist Saindon were both buried in Sunburst, Montana in the family plot.We have a picture of Emily.I will send it to you via email.Give me your email address, as I cannot read the one on genforum. Ray(My husband said that Baptist died by poison. He was a alcholic and kept his alchol in the barn and next to it was a bottle of ant poison, he took the ant poison by mistake or suicide? We don't know.Ray said they had 12 children so that was probably the cause. smileRay said that Emily spoke such broken english, so she didn't talk to the kids much, as they probably could not understand her. Uncle Isreal Sandon and Sophie(Emond) are buried in Sunburst also. They were first cousins. That part of the Saindon/Sindon's went by Sandon.Ray remembers his grandparents and can tell stories, I will try and pin him down and write some of it down.I know that Ray's mother did not speak french and when they had(the family)card games etc, his mother did not understand a word that they were saying.I don't think I would have gone, if that was the case.Anyway, I looked on Ancestry last night and you can get the WORLD FAMILY TREE on there.Baptist was listed. Also Message boards are a good way to find things out, I have learned alot from them and have met two cousin's.I will check out that website you mentioned.
Thanks for the reply
Judy
ps. When Baptist and Emily came across the border, their name was then SINDON. Ray's family all went by Sindon and all the brothers went by Sindon, with the exception of Isreal who was SANDON. This all came about during immigration.
