Would like to know more about John Albertson and his family, he was born about 1799-1806, first wife was Sarah, they appear on 1851 Loughborough census with 3 daughters Jane, Martha and Melissa (Malicia)- what was Sarah's maiden name?
John re-married in 1859/60 to Mary Jackson Keach, who had lived in Sheffield township with husband William Keach and their family. Have no idea what happened to William. John states his parents to be "Richard and Mary Albertson" on that marriage registration. John and Mary are on 1861 Loughborough census with John's daughter Melissa, 3 of Mary's keach sons, and other persons living in their home, including 9 year old (orphaned?) Mary Blackman who eventually married one of Mary's sons.
How is John related to other Frontenac and L & A County Albertson's- William married to Maria Loney for example? I see mention of other Richard Albertson's so there must be a connection.
John Albertson and second wife Mary had 2 daughters- Mary Anna and Adelaide Albertson. At least one of them married an Abrams.
One of Mary Jackson Keach-Albertson's Keach grand-daughters, Mary Emmy, married David John Albertson born 1868, son of David Albertson born 1831 and Mary Jane Hurst; 1831 David was a son of William Albertson born 1806 and his wife Maria Loney.
Mary Jackson Keach-Albertson was my own great great grandmother. She is buried at Verona with one of her sons, Amos Keach, (brother to my great grandfather Hiram Keach)and Amos' two wives, Margaret E. Wagar and Rachel Eve Babcock, and one of Amos' and Margaret's daughters, Annie. I don't know where John Albertson is buried.
Anyone with more info on John Albertson, his first wife, his children from that marriage, or any other info, please contact me.
