I am looking for any information on one Samuel Albertson, born possibly 25 October 1702 in Perquimans Co., NC with possible parents Peter Albertson and Ann Jones.
Samuel was married to the daughter of Edward OUTLAW and had at least one son, Samuel with her. Aparently this child was orphaned at a young age. Chowan County, NC Court papers show petitions filed against Samuel Albertson, by his brother-in-law Edward Outlaw in February 1739, March 1739 and again in February 1740 petitioning that Samuel Albertson, Jr. be bound out to said Edward Outlaw until the age of 20. This was granted by the court on the filing of the last petition which stated: "That Samuel Albertson Jun. live with and serve the sd. Edward Outlaw, his uncle, til he arrives at 20 years of age, the sd, Outlaw agreeing to give the sd. orphan 1 years schooling and to learn the sd apprentice his nephew the Art and Mistery of a Cooper."
I am trying to confirm that the documented dates and parental names for the Samuel Allbertson, Sr. I have are in fact for the Samuel Albertson who married the daughter of Edward Outlaw. I am also trying to ascertain the first name of said daughter of Edward Outlaw as well as dates for both she and her husband. Any help is appreciated, and documentation to support it is even more greatly appreciated.
