This message has really got me confused. The Kitterman Family that went to Wall, SD. is the Benjamin Kitterman and Nancy Taylor family. Benjamin first moved to Mo. then came back to IN. then moved to Ash Creek, MN. where Ben had a brother living. Ben died and the widow Nancy Taylor Kitterman along with her children and their families all moved to SD.
Per the 1860 census of Perry County, IN. Stephen T. Albin is 7 years old and is the son of Geore W. and Caroline Wright Albin. This Stephen supposedly married twice, Sarah Lucinda Foster and Pallia Galena Hess.
James Samuel Kitterman that married Hanna Marsh and had two daughters; Margaret and Sarah, he lived and died in Daviess Co., IN.
Margaret was born 26 Aug 1853 Gibson Co., IN. and died 30 June 1936 in Daviess Co., IN. She married first Jesse E. Albin 25 July 1872 in Harrison Co., IN, he was the son of John Albin and Evaline Williams. She married second to James T. Albin 4 Feb 1882 in Harrison Co., IN., he was the son of James Albin and Mary Stermans. The above information is from the marriage records.
Margaret and Jesse Albin had two sons; Cordia Lonzo Albin and James Elmer Albin. Margaret and James T. Albin had four children; Henry Ott Albin; Alfred Poteet Albin; Zachariah Taylor Albin and Mary Jane Albin. Alfred Poteet was born 30 Nov 1885 in Harrison Co., IN. died Jan. 1968 in Terre Haute, Vigo Co., IN. He married Margaret Etta Massey 26 Dec 1908.
Stephen T. Albin went to SD. homesteaded in May 1906. He had been living in Minor Co., SD.
Sarah Lucinda Foster was the daughter of Alexander Foster and Nancy Jane Doolittle, Alex was the son of Alexander Foster and Lucy Sturgeon. Alex Foster and Lucy Sturgeon also had a son Hiram who married Nancy Kitterman. Nancy Kitterman was the daughter of Christopher Kitterman (an uncle to James Kitterman) and Elizabeth Hifil/Highfield.
Margaret Adeline Albin was a sister to Stephen T. Albin. She married James Foster. They had three children, Cliff, John and Carolyn. James died of Typhoid fever and Margaret married Asa Kellems. This is the families that went to Ash Creek, MN and then on to Wall, SD.
If I am mixed up on this I sure would love to be corrected.
