Cyrus or John Albin/Alben in PA
My g-grandfather was JOHN C. ALBIN, b. Sept. 1863 in Pennsylvania, husband of Ellen and father of Howard C., Nancy S., Ira (my grandfather, b. 1888), and Oscar J.
The census records for 1900 and 1910 show the family farming in Butler County, PA.
In the 1880 census for PA, however, I can find no Albin family with a John C. aged 17 as he would have been at that time, but there IS a Butler Co. family headed by CYRUS ALBEN, who has a 17-year-old son named John.
Cyrus, also a farmer, would have been born ~1833 and was married to Maria Wilson (or, according to the 1870 census, Mariah) and father of Elizabeth J. ("Lizzie") and William W.
Cyrus may also have had a son named Isaac Findley Alben, b. ~1856 and married to Mary O, father of Charles A. Alben, b. ~1879.
If anyone has connecting information (or helpfully DISconnecting information), I'd be grateful if you'd point me in the right direction.
Thanks!
