I'm in the process of cleaning up the Family tree, nd browsing this forum is part of the process, and which is how I came across your post.
It would seem my second great grandmother Sarah Albiston is the sister of your grandfather Thomas Edward Albiston's aunt Elizabeth, so I have Joseph Albiston and Mary Buckley tagged as third great grandparents.
My problem is mainly with Mary Buckley, as I can find no record of her at all under her maiden name.
By the same token, I don't have a official record of Joe's DOB either, except for abt,1786 from the 1841 census (which has rounded his age anyway)
I'm hanging on to Mary Buckley, because, I do at least have a maiden name, and a marriage date (13 Jul 1805), both of which I suspect I gleaned from this forum sometime in the past, and, I suppose, because I have nobody better to replace her with.
It would be great if you could throw a bit of light on this couple.
I do have Joe's parents, and grand parents, so he's not too bad.
Their daughter Sarah went on to marry a Joseph Albiston on 02 Feb 1835 in Davenham. This event, as it happens, is this Joseph Albistons (born about 1811 in Over) first appearance on the scene - up until then he's mystery too, and seem set to remain that way.
