Hello, Lois, Yes, it looks like we are distant cousins. There are four of us cousins working on the family history.I'm in Ireland, there are two in England, and one in Adelaide Oz.
The Albistons were from Little Budworth, Cheshire, and your ancestors' grave is in the churchyard there, the inscription as follows:- In loving memory of Elizabeth Albiston who departed this life January 23rd 1891, aged 68 years."My Mother Dear." also Thomas Albiston who departed this life February 9th 1891, aged 69 years. "My Father Beloved."He Giveth His Beloved Rest.Erected by their son Thos. E. Albiston.
My 2nd cousin in England has digital photos of the headstone which can be emailed to you if you wish.
There was a large family of Albistons in Little Budworth during the 18th century, but when the salt industry took off in Over/Wharton/Winsford at the beginning of the 19th century, many people packed up their bags for the new pastures, including our Albistons.Your Elizabeth Albiston was born in Liverpool, and yes, in 1881 they did live at 35 Ledward St, Wharton. However, they all returned to Little Budworth to be buried, including my own direct ancestors.
My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.I'd love to discuss this further, especially if you are going to Cheshire next year.
