The Elizabeth Albright who married Daniel B. Althouse was from an Albright family that lived in Upper Bern Twp.(earlier part of Bern Twp.), Berks Co.Elizabeth was born c. july 3, 1819 in Pine Grove Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA, and died June 1, 1845 in Center Twp., Berks Co.Her parents were Solomon Albright (born c. Nov. 2, 1788, died July 16, 1855) and Maria (Polly) Miller. Solomon's parents were John Christian Albright (b. 1748, died Feb. 28, 1820) and Maria Elizabeth Althouse (b. Aug. 12, 1754, died May 1, 1799).She was the daughter of Johannes Christian Althouse.John Christian Albright was the son of Johann Christian Albright (b. 1721 or 1726, died April 30 or May 1, 1784) and Elizabeth Gertrude Rick (born c. July 9, 1722, buried Dec. 14, 1797). Johann Christian came to America with his parents in 1732 on the Pink Johnson, arriving Philadelphia Sept. 18, 1732.His parents were Johannes and Anna Barbara Albright. Johannes was born c. 1695 and died before Dec. 12, 1752.This family history is pieced together from a lot of different sources, so there may be one or two errors in it, but it's the best that I have been able to work out given the available records and should give you a good starting point. As you can see, there is a bit of doubt concerning some of the dates; this is due to the fact that there are a lot of people with similar names - there are a lot of Albrights in Berks Co.! I have additional information on some of these people (marriage dates, place of burial, etc.) which I can send if you want.I can also supply you with my sources for all this information, if you wish.Much of it comes from three books: Morton L. Montgomery's "History of Berks County" (1886), the "Historical and Biographical Annals of Berks County," and Joseph H. Vance's "Albright, Clapp, Burk Families" (1987).I hope all this is helpful to you.
