This pleases me greatly as I have so little information on Hannah Albright except that a brother lived in New Rochelle, NY and became very involved in the Park System. Hannah was my GGrandmother m. Alexander LeRoy (I have a wonderful picture of the two of them standing in front of their home).I also have a picture of Hannah with Austin Bernard LeRoy (my Grandfather), Hal LeRoy (two of his girls still living and traveling extensively), and Osmond LeRoy who was killed in Belgium during the war (picture of headstone in France). I have been told there was a sister that died at 12 years of age.I believe it had to do with choking on an apple or something along those lines. According to Hal's daughters, Hannah was quite a strong woman, seamstress, very much the authority. They still remember having to wear kidskin gloves to church in the middle of the summer in Canada.
My Grandfather came to California and was followed by Florence (Flo) Hamilton (my Grandmother). This couple married in CA and opened a General Store in a small town in near Ventura County, CA.They parented my uncle, Leslie Osmond LeRoy who wrote a number of books on geology and donated the royalities to the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. Lett had one son (living), married with two children, retired.
Bernice Etta Gertrude LeRoy (my mother) m. Arthur Mahan and parented three children, Grandchildren and GGrandchildren
Hal LeRoy parented four children, both boys deceased, girls still living. One of the girls had many children, the other girl never had children. Hal's children were all born in Canada.
To our knowledge Osmond never married, but a humorous side to this is one of Hal's girls (legal secretary and totally rational) was watching Larry King by herself one night when this guest began talking about her life in China during the time of the Emperor. She was half listening when she sat up realizing she felt like she was watching herself. The body language, speech, absolutely shocked her. She was leary of telling me.The point to this is Osmond was an advisor to the Emperor after graduation from McGill College. All things are possible. She indidcated she was hesitant about checking it out.
