There seems to be a common travel pattern in the Albritton, Kennard, and Livingston Families. I found all three in Livingston, NJ; Livingston, Tennessee; Livingston, Ala; Livingston, La; and Livingston, Angelina, TX. I recently found a clue in a book on Royal Families. It seems the first recognized Lord of Kinnaird was named Livingston. After that, Livingstons in that area were called by their title Kinnaird. Spellings of Kinnaird/Kennard/Kinard/Kenard/and similar spellings with a "C" are derivations of the same. I read elsewhere that Kinnaird is another Scots word for Laird or overseer, but most people think it comes from the French word for duck. Perhaps it does in some instances.
