I have completed my comparison of the 1790 census with the genealogical information kindly provided by posters to this forum. Now on to the land deeds. Here is the comparison:
-> Albritton, Adam | man 16+ | Adam b. 1769, Son of Peter and Susannah -> Albritton, Henry | man 16+; 3 boys 0-16; 2 females | Henry b. 1748, Son of James and Ami, his wife Eunice, and his three eldest sons, Jonothan, Samuel, and Richard, born '84, '87, and '90.Don't know who the other female is - an unknown daughter or a servant, perhaps. -> Albritton, James | 3 men 16+; 2 boys 0-16; female; 8 slaves | James b. ~ 1754 son of Thomas and Margaret, wife Lidia Travis. No children known, so two boys unaccounted.2 other men could be James' brothers; he had four, aged 30 to 40.This James and the 2 following could easily be mixed up. -> Albritton, James | man 16+; boy 0-16; 4 females; 4 slaves | James b. 1761 son of Peter and Susannah, wife's name unknown.Son, James C., age ~5.3 females unaccounted - unknown daughters, perhaps? -> Albritton, James | man 16+; female; 3 slaves | James, b.1735, married Mary Arnette. -> Albritton, Peter | 4 men 16+; boy 0-16; female; 4 slaves | Peter b. 1741, son of James & Eliz., wife Susannah __, and their sons Peter, ~14, son, Joel, ~17, and Jonothan ~19.Peter and Susannah had no daughters.Sons William, ~ 30, and James, ~29, have their own households in the census.Son Samuel, ~31, is not in the census. There should be 2 boys younger than 16, Peter ~14 and Luke, ~12.The fourth man is unexplained.Perhaps Peter was counted as being 16. -> Albritton, William | man 16+; boy 0-16; 3 females | William b. 1760 son of Peter & Susannah.Wife Elizabeth, dau. Cloey. One boy & one female not accounted for, presumably other children.
