My continued research reveals that thare are additional records of the Albrighton family in the 13th to 17th centuries, some of which throw up interesting possibilities. One thing I can safely say though is that it is impossible to link families as per the Albrighton/Albritton book prior to Thomas Albrighton bn abt 1489.
As an example Adam de Albrighton is listed as being granted a property in Brugge in 1369. This document can be viewed on line via; British Documents Online. This confirms the lease, but gives the year as 2 Edward III. By by sums this is 1329, not 1369.
It does give his father as Richard de Albryghton, but clearly the lineage is incorrect.
I will continue to research, but now feel it most appropriate to publish the whole section in one go.
If anyone has any questions or wants to view further records, of course I am willing to help.
