Carolyn, Regarding John Albro who was in Williamstown in 1810 - I am very interested in this John as I have been trying for some time to locate the father of William H. Albro, who was born in Berlin T, Rens. Co. NY in 1816.He named his first son John. These Berkshire and Pownal Albros are all very close (geographically) to Berlin and I think the state lines have changed. This same William H Albro had a dau B: 1853 in Lanesboro, Berkshire.
I have found this info on Berkshire Albros - Martin Albro was listed as being in Adams, Berkshire in the 1810 Census also.In 1790 there was a William Albro (Abro) in the Hancock census and in 1815 there is a Henry Albro on the Windsor Tax list.Do any of these people tie in?The only Albros in any Rens. Co documents, that I have found were Dorcas and Eunice who joined the Baptist Church in Berlin about 1808.
I dohave Martin as having a brother John B:1739.It looks like this John was still in Exeter in the 1784 RI Census, and his dau Ruth is mentioned in his mother's will, but John's death/probate I have not found in RI, so that could mean that he did leave RI, but he would have been over 40, so that makes it less probable.I also have Martin as having a possible brother William.
I am sure you have seen all the birth records for Martin's (SR.) sons- none of them are named John.
Your marraige data was new to me- thank you for posting it.Maybe we can put this all together - together, Cheryl
