By Helen Alderfer Stanley, Printed Allentown Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, 1972 by Schlechters. Out of print.

Book cronicles the history of this Mennonite name from its earliest roots in Zurich Switzerland and Steinsfurt in the Kraichgau region of Germany to Frederick and Anna Alderfer pioneer settlers of Lower Salford Philadelphia County arriving in 1733.
