Hi Melinda - Your post is so old I doubt you'll get my reply, but here goes.Actually I think I may have contacted you through another posting elsewhere, but I'll write anyway.
My Aldermans were in Stephentown and the surrounding area.I kept coming across your Aldermans, could never find the connection, but recently decided to do a separate tree on that branch on Family Tree Maker so I could sort them out and hopefully find a connection.
Because your George (b. in 1804 in PA) lived in Stephentown for several years and several of his children were born there, I strongly feel there's a connection with my Aldermans there.Stephentown just wasn't that big.I may do a lot of research and find I'm wrong - who knows?
Anyway, I found a death certificate for George that lists his parents as Ephraim & Jemima, says they are both born in PA, but I think that may be wrong.I found another Alderman, also named Ephraim, also b. in PA, and George's age.He is married to a Hannah Niles, same last name as George's wife, so I really feel they are brothers or at least related, cousins maybe. So I've been trying to follow their father.
Anyway, before I go on, I'll just wait and see if you even get this message!
