Jacob Alderman was with his father-in-law, Charles Bolt, in Polk County, MO in 1840. No one named Philip showed up but sons Charles and Hiram were on the 1844 tax list. In May 1850, Jacob appeared in probate court and said that John J. Alderman and Lucinda Alderman were persons of unsound mind and asked that guardians be appointed. Jacob then proceded to disappear as did Charles Bolt. Who were John J. and Lucinda? No more records in Polk.
