I am collecting information on Aldersons who died as a result of World War 2, both military and civilian, from anywhere in the world. They could have died during the War or later as a result of injuries or disease sustained. I have compiled a list of 60 individuals so far, but I think there may be more having been told of two only last week. I am collecting as much detail as possible: name, date of birth, relatives, service history, medals, and so on.
I have already produced a Roll of Honour for WW1 which can be viewed on the Alderson Family History Society website (www.afhs.org). The Roll of Honour for WW2 will all be available there also.
If you know of any WW2 Alderson casualties, please post details in response to this message, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or post on the Alderson Family History Society Forum (www.afhs.org/forum). There are messages there requesting further details of twenty or so Aldersons, for whom I am specifically seeking further details.
If you have any details to add to the WW1 Roll of Honour, please let me know. At a later date I will be creating Rolls of Honour for Aldersons who died in other wars throughout history, including the US War of Independence, civil wars, the South Africa Campaign, and so on. Again I would be pleased to receive details as above.
