I have been doing a page by page search of the Liverpool, Medina County,Ohio 1840 Census. On page 263 there is a Ferdinand Aldinger:
male: One 20-30, One 40-50 female: One 20-30, One 40-50 4 persons working in agriculture
Ancestry.com has the name as Ferdinand Caldinger
The "d" in Ferdinand is written in heavy script and was taken to be a "C" On the same page is a Andrew Zacharias
Ancestry. com has it as Andrew Techanias
We are searching for a Michel Zacharies/Zachariah ,born in Prussia ,married a Mary Aldinger.. about 1837. We have only found the family in one census 1870 Hillsdale County, Michigan. Within this census it states that Mary was born in PA. Mary Aldinger was given as the mother's name on the death certificate of Caroline Zachariah Loomis. We have no other confirmation that this is the correct name.
Michel and Mary should be in the 1840 Ohio Census, since all their children were born in Ohio with the exception of the last child Nancy born abt. 1856 in Michigan.,county unknown.
George Zacharies/Zachariah b. abt 1838 Fredericka " " Susan " " Michael " " Caroline " " John " " Nancy " "
The family relocated to Putnam County, Ohio. There is a death recorded for a Mary Zachariah , died March 11 1875 , age 61.This would make her birth year about 1814. Parents names Unknown.
Michel Zacharies/Zachariah remarried in July 1875 to a Mrs. Margaret Rangeler maiden name maybe Sponsler.
The only Mary Aldinger that I've been able to find so far doesn't match .
