I don't know about your two 1700s marriages but I do have the following:
John Aldis, b. 1625 in England, married 1650 in Roxbury, Mass. to Sarah Eliot, b. 1628 in Essex, England.John was the son of Nathan and Mary Aldis, who, as you said, were the immigrant ancestors. Sarah Eliot was the daughter of Philip Eliot and Elizabeth Sybthorpe and the niece of the illustrious Rev. John Eliot, Apostle to the Indians.
I also know that John Aldis and Sarah Eliot had a son, Daniel Aldis, b. 1661, d. 1717, and although I don't know any more about him, he could have been the fellow that married Sarah Paine in 1685.
John and Sarah Aldis had seven children that I know of, including:
1. Sarah Aldis, b. 1652, m. Gershon Hubbard in 1673 in Dedham, Mass. 2. John Aldis, b. 1653, m. Mary Winchester. I know of one daughter named Abigail. 3. Mary Aldis, b. 1657, m. Nathaniel Richards (my direct ancestors) 4. Nathaniel Aldis, b. 1659, d. 1660. 5. Daniel Aldis, discussed above. 6. Nathaniel Aldis, b. 1663 7. Hannah Aldis, b. 1666
Most of my information on this comes from either undocumented (by me) sources of kind folks who have shared on the net or from: Virkus, Frederick A., "The Abridged Compendium of American Genealogy", Volume I, 1925,(F. A. Virkus & Company, Genealogical Publishers, Chicago, Illinois).
