Katherine P. Aldrich
Katherine P. Aldrich, 95, of Palmyra and formerly of New London, died at 2:55 a.m. Dec. 10, 1998, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra.
Funeral services for Mrs. Aldrich will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home. The Rev. David Roseman will officiate. Burial will be at Centenary Cemetery in rural Ralls County.
Mrs. Aldrich was born Nov. 11, 1903, in Bush to Frank and Mattie Wooten Starr.
She was married to Melvin S. Aldrich on Jan. 7, 1924, in Iowa City, Iowa. He preceded her in death Aug. 29, 1964.
Survivors include one daughter, Mattie Lewallen of Hannibal; one son, Charles Aldrich of New London; one brother, Buster Starr of Charles City, Iowa; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Margie Ocheltree, Rosemarie Couch and an infant daughter; one great-granddaughter, three brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Aldrich was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Greg Hooley, Sam Shannon, Jerry Daniels, Bill Northcutt, Tommy Lewallen and Ron Wilson
