I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is Napoleon B. Aldrich b. c. 1847 in Wisconsin.His parents were Gideon (b. 1802) & Betsy Clements (b. 1804) both b. in Vermont.I need death & burial for Betsy & Gideon. Gideon apparently d. before 1860. Napoleon's siblings weree Andrew, William, Malina, Lydia Betsy& Albert.The family was at Elba, Dodge Co., WI in 1850. By 1860 Betsey & Napoleon were living with George Aldrich b. c. 1824 in Vermont) & his wife & 4 children at Magnolia,Rock Co., WI.There is no record of a marriage for Napoleon. H. d. 8 Aug 1863 at Vicksburg, MS
I don't know the parents for George Aldrich.I wonder if Betsy was Gideon's 2nd wife Any info you can give will be very helpful.
