I wish that some of your Aldridge's had matched up with some of mine...but as far as I can tell, mine skipped Kentucky. They went to Tennessee then Texas. Now I'm not saying that they aren't somehow related, just that in my direct line and I have no clue as to who Ezra's parents, brothers, or sisters are. Now for the Trammell's.... where to start.... My husband's grandfather was Philip Lee Trammell b.1899 d.12-25-1985 in Ft.Worth, Texas he was married to Flavia (Flora) Vargas. Philip Lee's father was Henry Robert Trammell b.1854 d.1934 his father was Henry Trammell b.9-11-1817 in Kentucky d.3-28-1881 in Gonzales County, Texas. His father was Nicholas Trammell b.1780 d.May of 1856 in Gonzales County, Texas. His father was Nicholas Trammell b.1758 in Virginia d.1784 in Davidson County, Tennessee. His father was Philip (Lafayette) Trammell b.1732 in Virginia d.1818 in Illinois.
If you go to ancestry.com and do a search on Henry Robert Trammell and click on "Ancestry World Tree entries for HENRY ROBERT TRAMMELL" it will list three GEDCOM files. The second one is our line of Trammell's. It just doesn't list us on there. It is someone else's file but it is my line of Trammell's. My father-in-law has a gold pocket watch that has been passed down from his grandfather, Henry Robert Trammell. The enscription says :
Trammell Henry 1910 (the year the watch was given to him) Philip 1934 (the year that Henry died) Philip G. 1970 (that's the year that his parents gave it to him)
The watch was passed down from father to son and we will keep the tradition going. The only thing that has me puzzled is. Since Henry Robert Trammell had atleast one other son, Robert Henry Trammell b.1881, why was the watch not given to him in 1934? was he already dead? since he would have been born before Philip Lee Trammell...Oh, I don't know....
