Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Bettes Chapel for Mark Aldridge, 80, of 1415 Fourth Ave. NE, who died Friday of a heart attack at his home.
Rev. Cletus Hawkins, pastor of Springdale Baptist Church, will officiate, with burial in Lone Cedar Cemetery.
Nephews serving as bearers will be Milford Gibbs, Houston Culpepper, Gary Don Simmons, John Sampley, Junior Sampley, F.C. Sampley, Bobby Burks, and Melvin Sampley.
A retire farmer, Aldridge was born at Rockdale, Tex., Jan. 2, 1882, but moved to Oklahoma as a youth of 14 and had resided in Carter County since 1903, most of the time in Ardmore. He was a member of the Sprindale baptist Church.
Married to Miss Myrtle Sampley at Ardmore in 1905, he is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Everett, Pomona, Calif.; a brother, Joe, Austin, Tex.; one grandson, Roy Aldridge, Lampoc,Calif., and a great-grandson.
