First, I have to say, I have no known relationship to this branch of Aldridges, but I "think" there "might" be one, being that I had Aldridges in Arkansas during the same time period.Who knows....
Anyway,I checked in the PRICE area on GenForum and found a post by C.J. Bryan, who said that her gggrandmother was Margaret Price, and that George A.R. Price was one of Margaret's children.
Further into the post, she mentioned that all but a few of the family members moved to Lamar Co., TX.George's name wasn't among the ones that stayed in AR, so I went to Lamar Co., Tx website.
There I found a "wonderful" search of the cemeteries of that county. There is listed a Price, G.A.R., born 21 Sep 1833, died 29 Dec 1888, buried in Red Oak Cemetery. He is buried next to an, Eliza F. Price.
If this is the same George, then at some point he and Mary must have divorced, and he remarried. There is also a listing for a Price, Mary, born (calculated from her age of death, 73, subtracted from the year of her death, 1907 ) c: 1834.If this is your Mary, it says that she had been living in Texas for 55 yrs, which would mean that she moved there in 1852.She is not buried in the same cemetery as George and Eliza, and silly me... I didn't write that information down, but I can find it again if you think this is your Mary.
Do you know if George and Mary had any children? Maybe there might be burial information about them too, that would help you to know that these are indeed your kin.
