William Aldridge and Elizabeth Symons, who were married in All Hollows Church in Anne Arundel, Maryland in 1726. Can anyone tell me about William Aldridge and Eliza Symons/Symmons?My reason is that my Akridge line and the Aldridge line are both based upon this marriage in Anne Arundel Co, MD; and I am trying to reconcile the differences.Either one of these lines are wrong, or the two names are connected somehow.I have raised this question with my fellow Akridge researchers, but no one seems to understand the significance of this, other than that it is a problem.I do find much more literal documentation and descendant information on the Aldridge line than on the Akridge line. There are a lot of similarities, but some difference in the names of the children and descendants. It is the lack of verifiable documentation on the Akridge that has bothered me for so long. I think the actual marriage record reads as follows from another Genforum message. [I found this information in a book Maryland Marriages 1634-1777 batch #1AA-103 Akeridge, William,3 July 1726, Eliza Symmons.
