Does anyone have the ALEWINE readings for that cemetery in Leesville, SC?If so, I would be most interested in the earliest burials.....say, before 1840.
I'm looking mainly for a female ALEWINE who would have md. a CARROLL, WILSON or FRANKLIN before 1800.I'm sorry, but I don't have a first name for either that female or the man that she md.----like looking for a needle in a haystack!ut I'm trying to find all of the ALEWINE males who could be the father of this female ALEWINE and he would have been born ca. 1750-1770 in that area of SC or just into GA.
Does anyone have in this ALEWINE family have any information on the Christener(?) ALEWINE, the only dau. that I know about that Michael and Mary ALEWINE had?Who did she marry?
My problem is where the ALEWINE name came from in the family of our John Wilson CARROLL (ca. 1793-1862)and Frances FRANKLIN (b. ca. 1800 in GA, d. ?) who were md. in Spartanburg Co., SC in 1814.They named their eldest son, Elijah Alewine CARROLL and I'm trying to find out where his middle name came from.I do not have the ancestors of either of these people.
Can anyone help with the female ALEWINE lines before 1785 or so?
