They would be in the first three generations of the ALEWINE family of SC---Newberry and nearby counties of SC.They would be descendants of John George ALEWINE who came to SC in 1752 and settled in District 96, part of which became Newberry District/Co..
Does anyone know the name of this John George ALEWINE's wife?
I have only one daughter for the immigrant, John GeorgeALEWINE---Catherine.I don't have anything on her except that she was age 18 in 1752.I don't know who she married or whether or not she had any children.
I have only four children for the immigrant, John GeorgeALEWINE:
Catharine Michael Adam George
The latter two are reported to never have married. Can anyone supply me with the names of the spouses of Catharine and Michael and the names of their children.....and, hopefully who their children married?
I'm looking for the reason why our grandson's ancestors John Wilson CARROLL (ca. 1793 to 1862) and his wife Frances FRANKLIN (ca. 1800 to 1887?) named their first child:
Elijah Alewine CARROLL (b. 1815)
John W. CARROLL and Frances FRANKLIN were md. in 1814 in Spartanburg Dist., SC and died in Edmonson Co., KY.
Can anyone help on this?????
Dolores in CA
What I'm looking for is a female marriage in the first two generations of this ALEWINE family and who they married.
