[Henderson Co., KY] Jessie James Alexander PROVIDENCE -- Jessie James Alexander, 70, Providence, died at 11:37 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2000, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
He was a retired operator for U.S. Steel.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; four daughters, Louise Alexander and Judy Nelson, both of Readieville, Tenn., Connie Hester of Wesley, Ark., and Linda Gregg of Westminster, Colo.; two sons, James Alexander of Wokerton, Ind., and Greg Alexander of Chesterton, Ind.; four sisters, Ivy Dale Waddill, Ruby Alice Emmett, Judith Ann Quisenberry and Wilma Sue Rogers, all of Providence; three brothers, Frank Lee Alexander of Demont, Ind., and Claude D. Alexander and Henry D. Alexander, both of Providence; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence. The Rev. Rick Oakley will officiate. Burial will be in Blackwell-Frazier Cemetery near Clay.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
