I recently found a Hugh Alexander in the 1850 census of Appanoose County, Iowa.I believe this Hugh Alexander is the same person that married Sally Finnell on January 5, 1836 in Howard County, Missouri.I am also quite sure that this Hugh Alexander was a brother of my gg grandfather John Alexander and both were sons of James Alexander and Elizabeth Logan who were married in Garrard County, KY in 1804 and migrated to Randolph County, Missouri by c.1825 (I should also note that James Alexander who married Elizabeth Logan was most likely the son of Samuel Alexander who died in 1784 in Mecklenburg Co., NC).
I was wondering if anyone is researching or descended from this Hugh Alexander family.Hugh Alexander's family moved back to Missouri where they appear in Adair County in 1860 and Schuyler County in 1870.
Thanks in advance!
