SPRINGFIELD - Minnie Alexander, 59, of Springfield died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at Capitol Care Center.
She was born Nov. 7, 1946, in Chicago, the daughter of Bonnie Manuel and Lueceafes Wilkerson Reese.
Mrs. Alexander was a certified nurse assistant at United Cerebral Palsey and Glenwood Terrace. She also was a cook at East Gate and Sheridan.
Survivors: four sons, Derrick, Howard, Tevelle and Vernon (wife, Krystine Komanecky) Alexander, all of Springfield; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Roosevelt (wife, Keshia), Leon (wife, Marcia) and Leroy Reese, all of Springfield, and J.W. Reese of Huntsville, Texas; four sisters, Beatrice (husband, Richard) Gragg, Bonnie Reese-White, Earlene (husband, Jessie) Hopson and Gail Reese (husband, Charles) Watson, all of Springfield; an aunt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: 11 a.m. today, Emmanuel Temple God of Christ Church, Dr. Juan Morrison Sr., and the Rev. Jessie Hopson officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
