Alexanders of Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Trying to trace fellow descendants of the Alexander family from 2 parishes in Aberdeenshire, Scotland: parish of Bourtie, and parish of Chapel of Garioch. Common first names are William and Henry. The family was of farming stock, but in the 19th c some of them rose to some prominence through their education, one William Alexander becoming an author famous in N-E Scotland, his best-known work being "Johnny Gibb of Gushetneuk".
