Hi Chris. I cant say for sure what part of Ireland or Scotland our familly is from since i have not found documentation back that far but I would like to know more of the Joseph and Samuel who came with Archibald that you mentioned earlier. It apears that Jerads line of Alexander's starts with a John Alexander born in the late 1600's who married Margeret Glasson and their son James Alexander who married a Rosy Reed. It looks like many of their Descendents lived in the same areas of the Susquehanna river as our Joseph Alexander. The John Alexander who lived where Joseph said his father lived at the time of the revolution. and also a John Alexander who lived in the area and also had land on Muncy creek near there. Actually early 1769 land grants show several Alexander's living in the vicinity. Some of them look to be Jerad's line. There was a Samuel, Adam, Hughe, John, maybe two James. The Dna test should show any connection if there is one. I was wondering where it was written that Joseph came with his father and brother in 1765?. It seems that your uncle is the earliest researcher and may have had a written record of this. Jerad's line of Alexander's where said to have come to America about 1735. but could some of the Alexander's have come at a later date? Such as our Joseph? They would have at least known each other because they all lived around rhe Susquehanna River when it was very little populated. All for now. Chris A.
