Josiah Alexander b. 1814/15 was married to Eliza Harrell who's children were, William Mearl b. 1842, Nancy C. b. 1843, Eliza M. b. 1844, Martha A. b. 1844 and Elisha B. b. 1848. William M. married Elen Chinaflower (Cherokee) who's children were, William C. b. 1869, George B. b. 1871, Christopher B. b. 1873, Eliza J. b. 1875, Edney Theordore b. 1877 and Stanley L. b. 1879. It was believed that Josiah was part of the Militia who assisted with the removal of the Cherokee in N.C. and that Eliza was possibly Native American.
